FREQUENCY CONVERTERS
The 1st in the industry 60 Hz to 400 Hz frequency converters in 20 to 80 kW power range which had material cost lower than of the motor-generators, and were one of the earliest uses of bipolar transistor modules. They were built in 1982-84 per military specifications.
